We have recently invested €17,000 to renovate an existing building in Calcutta for street children. It is a day-care centre, to enable children to study after school, as they have no homes to go to. It also provides a meal for them. This we do in conjunction with a retired priest. We also provide clothing and food for many other street children, and have enabled many others to receive hospital and other medical treatments. We also contribute to a hospital in Orrissa, approx 150 miles from Calcutta, enabling the hospital to set up wards for the poor who simply could not pay. We also visit hospitals, and last Christmas 2005 paid hospital bills for very sick children, who otherwise would have died from having no means to pay. This was such a great privilege to do."
